Off-topic: Computers for schools

Postby AJ Montgomery on Thu Sep 06, 2007 11:13 am

This message has nothing to do with MAXIMO, however, much to do with computers, learning and sharing.

I am seeking opportunities to have some computers (1 or as many as 30, new or used) to be provided either as donations or at ridiculously reduced prices to my daughter's Montessori School. They have a few computers now, most of which are aging to well below current standards. There are not enough to go around and I want to help them if at all possible.

If you have or know of someone/some business that has extra or does donation programs with old stock computers, I would love to hear from you. I am seeking workstation PC's, keyboards, mice, monitors, laptops, printers, etc.

The facility has site licensed software/OS and can even accept the computers without HDD's if necessary.

This may also serve as a tax write-off. Please check to see if you qualify.

Any assistance that you can provide is greatly appreciated. You may respond as a reply to this message, PM me or email me. Thanks!

AJ ~ I think your post was awhile ago, I keep forgetting to look at the right date. I actually have a computer I would love to donate. I will tell you however, it lacks a hard drive, so basically it's the box, a keyboard and I also have a printer I would be willing to give you. Let me know if this is even still a needed request.
Thanks for everything you do!
